Newport Youth Futures

NYF Poster (1)

Newport Youth Futures is one of the many projects carried out by Ethnic Minorities & Youth Support Team Wales. Our organisation seeks to fill a gap by offering culturally sensitive provision for young people, primarily from a Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) background.

Newport Youth Futures is a BBC Children in Need and Youth Futures Foundations funded project for young people aged between 11-18 with the aims of providing a programme of activities for young people including homework clubs, youth drop-in sessions, 1:1 support and volunteering opportunities to enhance connections between young people and local employers. These activities will be varied to suit different tastes and interests but would aim to build confidence and life skills in young people, as well as offer clear support and pathways to employability. We also look to support the social development of young people as they engage in a safe space with other individuals of similar backgrounds.

We would also really like to work in partnership with as many local organisations and schools as possible to discuss potential involvement with our programme. If this interests you, please get in touch below.
